Local Recommendations

Richmond

Our favourite recommendation, hands down. Just a short drive away, this historic town is home to Australia’s oldest bridge, charming galleries, cafes, and plenty of colonial-era character. It’s the perfect follow-on from a morning with the alpacas.

Hobart Zoo & Aquarium

About 20 minutes from the farm, this family favourite offers wildlife encounters and Tasmania’s largest aquarium, all under one roof - a great all-weather option to pair with your visit to us.

Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary

Around 25 minutes away, Bonorong is one of Tasmania’s leading wildlife conservation parks, home to Tasmanian devils and other native species, with a strong focus on rescue and rehabilitation.

Port Arthur Historic Site

For those with a full day up their sleeve, Port Arthur is about an hour’s drive and one of Australia’s most significant convict heritage sites -  well worth the trip if your itinerary allows.

Coal River Valley Wineries

The region is home to a growing number of boutique, cool-climate wineries. We’re proud to partner with Wobbly Boot Vineyard, whose wines feature in our Paca Picnic experience.

Whether you’re after a farm stay, a boutique B&B, or something closer to Hobart, the Coal River Valley and Sorell area offer a range of accommodation to suit every visitor. Ask our team on the day - we keep a rack of local brochures at reception and are always happy to recommend somewhere that suits your trip.
